HVAC Technician (Oil Heat)
Location: Marcus Hook, PA
Pay: $30-$41/hr

Responsibilities
-Install, service, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems, with a focus on oil heat equipment
-Diagnose and troubleshoot oil furnace and boiler issues, including ignition, burner, and combustion problems
-Perform routine maintenance, including nozzle replacement, filter changes, and burner cleaning/adjustments
-Conduct efficiency testing and combustion analysis to ensure systems meet safety and performance standards
-Respond to service calls and provide accurate diagnosis of heating system malfunctions
-Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
-Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage documentation
-Ensure compliance with all applicable safety codes and regulations
-Communicate professionally with customers regarding system status, repairs, and recommendations

Required Education, Skills, and Experience
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician
-Proven experience working on oil heat systems (furnaces, boilers, burners)
-Working knowledge of oil burner components, ignition systems, and combustion testing
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-Ability to work independently and manage a service route
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience
-EPA certification
-NATE certification
-Experience with dual-fuel or combination oil/gas systems
-Familiarity with hydronic heating systems
